Style's Splash on the French Riviera At Cannes Film Festival May 24, 2002 - Cannes, France - The French Riviera is renowned for its sexy, splashy, jet setting ambiance, but on May 24, 2002, Cannes took on a decidedly American twist with American Style - Cannes, the sexiest swimsuit fashion show to hit the swank sands of the French Riviera during the world-famous Cannes Film Festival aboard the Sunchaser Yacht. As E! Entertainment TV, Entertainment Tonight and HBO zoomed in on American Style, so did hundreds of onlookers, craning their necks for a glimpse of the hottest fashions and swimwear - not to mention the gorgeous models wearing them. With the internationally recognized designs of American labels such as bebe, Becca, Girl Starr and Rebecca V, the runway of American Style - Cannes was the sizzling focal point of American pride. But the sun and fun wasn't all frivolous. American Style - Cannes was held on behalf of the Bony Pony Ranch Foundation, an organization that helps underprivileged and at-risk youth excel beyond their current situations. The Foundation has created an atmosphere where young people can maximize their talents and achieve new goals in life by being exposed to new role models and mentors who can provide a positive influence. With a good cause and fantastic backdrop behind it, American Style Cannes, was a splashing success, to the least. |
