MIAMI STYLE SUMMER PARADED THROUGH SKYBAR, WITH PERRY ELLIS ON THE CATWALK
Miami Beach, Fla. (June 5, 2003) - - Miami Style Summer
paraded through the ultra-exclusive SKYBAR, at the Shore Club,
this past Sunday evening. This trendy VIP event, hosted by Michelle
Clunie and Gale Harold of Showtime's Queer as Folk,
featured the Fall 2003 collection of the renowned Perry Ellis,
with designs by Jerry Kaye.
The Perry Ellis garments presented were created in warm colors and made of soft fabrics that fell flawlessly on the models’ bodies as they pranced around the perimeter of the pool, which served as their runway. The final scene was culminated with applause, as the sculpted models appeared in Perry Ellis underwear.
With over 400 trend seekers in attendance, this summer’s event can be considered a great success. A total of over 4,000 guests have attended past
Miami Style events, according to Paolo Sadri, president of
TMG Entertainment, producers of the event. “This show was more casual than previous events, but the turnout was still large and the show was impressive,” Sadri said.
According to one guest, “SKYBAR is the perfect backdrop. It’s beautiful, sexy, and exclusive. That’s the same way I want to feel in designer clothing.”
“The Miami Style show was the perfect showcase for the new Perry Ellis Men’s and Women’s collections,” said Colleen Adams, Director of Events for Perry Ellis.
