TO BENEFIT STOP THE VIOLENCE/ FACE THE MUSIC FOUNDATION
The sixth annual Moonlight Rhapsody hosted by Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan, Heat) was held at the prestigious Hotel Nash on South Beach to raise funds for the Stop the Violence/Face the Music Foundation (STVIFTM). Established in 1992, STV/FTM is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing counseling for anti-violence, crime and substance abuse messages through the use of educational programs, music and television campaigns. Joining Tom Sizemore were news anchors Laurie Jennings (WSVN-7), Steve Wolford (WFOR-4) and Kristi Krueger (WPLG-10). A Proclamation was presented to Stop the Violence/Face the Music by Miami Beach Mayor Niesen Kasdin. President of STV/FTM, John Karroll said of the evening, "Tonight's proceeds will go towards furthering our goal of counteracting negative influences by offering positive direction. The recent tragedy in New Orleans, where two middle school students, 13 and 15 years old, shot and critically wounded each other at the school cafeteria, reconfirms the urgent need for counseling and educational programs for youth. We at STV/FTM have been dedicated since 1992 to fighting the war against youth violence. Sponsors for the event included Hotel Nash, Mark's Restaurant, Nation Investment, Caviarteria, Stella Salon, Model's Inc. and MediaBomb. TMG Entertainment, a division of TMG Entertainment, produced Moonlight Rhapsody VI. The special events company has offices in Beverly Hills, New York,, Miami Beach and London. |
