Hosted Miami Style V at Casa Casuarina (Former Versace Mansion)
South Beach, FL (April 4, 2002) - Miami Style V, presented by Audi, was a runaway success last Saturday evening when the Spring 2002 Collection of Bill Blass was showcased on the runway at Casa Casuarina.
Hosted by Head Designer of Bill Blass Lars Nilsson, as well as local News Anchors Jennifer Valoppi (WTVJ-6) and Laurie Jennings (WSVN-7), over 250 South Florida "fashionistas" arrived to the former Versace Mansion in South Beach to watch beautiful models strut their stuff in Bill Blass dresses, suits and evening wear. The Spring 2002 Collection, which was showcased at the event, won accolades from Vogue Magazine as one of the top 10 collections of the season and earned Bill Blass New York Magazine's "Designer of the Year" award. Hairstylists were provided by world-renown Jose Eber, atelier, while Sephora provided make-up artists. The models were from the Irene Marie Agency.
In addition to watching the show, spectators came to support the Miami City Ballet, the beneficiary of Miami Style V. Miami City Ballet is among the most important ballet companies in the United States. The Company has four Home Counties in South Florida: Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Naples.
